Stars Reveal Sex and the City Wedding Scene Details

Fans have finally learned what the '80s outfits are all about in the upcoming Sex and the City sequel – but what's the scoop on the wedding scene being buzzed about? Are the rumors true that Stanford Blatch and Anthony Marantino are tying the knot?

"We're filming. I can tell you that. I don't want to get sued," Willie Garson, who plays Blatch, said Wednesday in New York at the Vanity Fair party celebrating his new show, White Collar, premiering on USA Friday.

Newcomer Nicholas Rodriguez, who plays a character "crucial" to the scene – though he can't reveal details of his role – confirms to PEOPLE that there will be an extravagant wedding taking place in Connecticut.

"We shot for two weeks. It's a ginormous scene with a huge budget, and everybody is pretty much in it ... all of the girls and their spouses, Willie and Mario [Cantone], and another big surprise cameo, Liza Minnelli," Rodriguez says.

Surprise SerenadeMinnelli, who is a guest at the movie wedding, was so excited to be a part of the film that she serenaded the cast, according to Rodriguez.
"After the shoot, she said, 'I would like to have everyone's attention,' and they pulled out a stool for her at the piano and gave her a mic and she sang a favorite of her mother, Judy Garland. She said, 'Thank you for letting me play with you guys,'" says Rodriguez. "It was so heartfelt and genuine. I got choked up and several people were sobbing like a baby, but I'm not going to name names because he might be really embarrassed."

In true Sex and the City form, stylist Patricia Field has the ladies looking fierce. Rodriguez says their grand entrance in the scene is a "wow factor."
"When Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) comes out in the first outfit, you just have to stare at her. She's hot!" he says.

Besides the fabulous fashion, Rodriguez says the cast's chemistry is what makes Sex and the City really tick.

"The ladies have this insane amount of chemistry – not only with each other – but with their spouses as well. Watching Chris Noth and Sarah Jessica work, you're like, 'Oh they flirt just as much off camera as they do on.' They're the same from action to cut as they are from cut to action and it's fun," he concludes.

Field also says Miley Cyrus is definitely in the movie. "Cyrus recently filmed a scene with Kim Cattrall, where the two ostensibly showed up to a movie premiere in matching outfits."

Sarah Jessica Parker’s newest fragrance will be based largely around alter ego Carrie Bradshaw

SJP is set to release another fragrance, this time named SJP NYC, with most of its inspiration coming from the American fashion capital and the home of her super-stylish alter ego Carrie Bradshaw in the hugely successful Sex and the City shows.

The fragrance, which has been designed by SJP, is due to be linked to the highly-anticipated Sex and The City sequel which is set to be released next year.

The company behind the fragrance, Coty Prestige, wants to link SJP's talent for creating best-selling scents with the hype surrounding the huge movie franchise and have already been working with the film's producers and distributors to leverage the relationship.

Details of the plan are still in development reports WWD, but in-store appearances and promotions tied to the movie's premiere are planned.
The new scent, SJP NYC, has a fruity floral smell with hints of Italian mandarin, strawberries, honeysuckle and vanilla but unfortunately we won't be able to get ours hands on it until the middle of next year.

Until then you can still buy SJP's debut fragrance, which despite being released in 2005 is still in the US top 50 women's fragrances.

Miley Cyrus' Sex and The City 2 Cameo

Rumor has it that Miley Cyrus' Sex and The City 2 cameo is confirmed that she, indeed, does have a role in the sequel after photos surfaced over the weekend. Find out more details here.

It is assured that Miley Cyrus will play a part in the sequel of Sex and The City 2's upcoming movie. On October 16th, over the weekend, the starlet was seen filming with actress Kim Cattrell, in character, Samantha Jones via the red carpet.

MTV reports that Samantha Jones and Miley, in cast as herself, attend a red carpet event. Here, both actresses wore the same dress: a strapless gold, sparkly gown with a topaz necklace and some fashionable boots, while Miley accents her dress with a spiked necklace. In action, the beauties attend the "Heart of the Desert" premiere featuring Samantha Jones' boyfriend, Smith (Jason Lewis) at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City.

According to VH1, it is said that Miley does not have any lines in the movie, however this is not certain. Her act involves Anthony (Mario Cantone) whom allegedly comments, "Mother of God. She is wearing the same dress as Hannah Montana."

Sources say that the sequel is due out in theaters May of 2010. This is sure to be a movie you will not want to miss!

Who does Penelope Cruz play in 'Sex and the City 2'?

Jennifer Hudson was the big addition to the first "Sex and the City" movie, but who's stirring things up for Carrie and the gang in the sequel? Why just another Best Supporting Actress winner, the lovely Penelope Cruz.

The production hasn't commented on Cruz's participation, but HitFix can confirm news reports that the "Vicky Christina Barcelona" has shot a cameo in the movie. How bit a role it is nobody knows, but writer/director Michael Patrick King and co-producer and star Sarah Jessica Parker are probably loving all the online speculation.

People reports that Cruz doesn't play herself in the picture and that she was first spotted at the film's New York City's Empire Hotel shoot. Cruz's character is supposedly a banker and on this day she filmed a scene where she found herself a little too close to Mr. Big (Chris North). We can assume Big's new wife, Carrie (Parker) was not pleased.

The Empire Hotel is getting a lot of dramatic exposure these days. The Lincoln Center landmark was just "purchased" by Ed Westwick's Chuck on "Gossip Girl" in an extended story arc for the CW melodrama.

As for "Sex 2," it was also revealed that Liza Minnelli shot a three-day cameo for the movie. It's unclear whether the stage icon played herself or an original character. Even more intriguing, Jason Lewis, who was dumped by Samantha (Kim Cattrall) at the end of the first movie, is back for a second go around on the big screen.

The first "Sex and the City" movie grossed an astonishing $415 million worldwide when released in May 2008. "Sex and the City 2" hits theaters almost two years to the day on May 28, 2010.

Sex and the City 2 keeps Sarah Jessica Parker too busy to bond with twin girls

Celebrity mom Britney Spears knows all too well the media criticism that comes from on-lookers, insiders and spectators. For working actress moms, the media takes no allies and Sex and the City's Sarah Jessica Parker is in the line of fire.

After recent reports popped up in Star Magazine quoting sources as saying SJP was too busy to bond with her twin girls, the rumors and pictures (like the one shown here) of abandoned babies have surfaced and spread through entertainment news.

The 3-month-old twin girls, Tabitha and Marion are said to be spending most of their time with husband Matthew Broderick and "assorted nannies", says the report.

Star Magazine reveals that while Sarah Jessica Parker might be making attempts to fill the dual roles of on-screen "Carrie" and mom, she still hasn't had adequate time to bond with her newborns.

According to the source behind Star's big reveal, Sarah Jessica Parker is logging 12-14 hour works days, fliming for the highly-anticipated Sex and the City 2 movie, to hit the big screen on May 28, 2010.

"It breaks her heart, but she just doesn't have a lot of time," an insider tells Star.

On top of a hit movie sequel, newborn twins and a husband, SJP is also mother to her six-year-old son, James.

The Sex and the City diva isn't even able to take a break. On her days off, the star reportedly attends business meetings, takes business calls and prepares for the "Carrie" debut.

"She checks in on everyone; then it's off to bed where she looks over her script before passing out," says the insider.

Adding, "She's beyond exhausted. It's not ideal timing for her to have two babies at home, but she's doing the best she can."
